WEAAD is recognized as one of the premier events showcasing services to Brevard County’s senior community. WEAAD continues to offer local companies and provider agencies an opportunity to highlight what they do best, while at the same time bringing attention to the issue of elder abuse prevention.
Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation will host any WEAAD events in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties. Activities associated with WEAAD include mailing information packets to geriatric physicians/professionals; providing ANE training in collaboration and sponsorship with provider agencies, law enforcement, and the general public; distributing outreach materials that emphasize the importance of elder abuse prevention; and publicizing the event via public service announcements such as press release, advertisements on side of buses or in print or virtual media, airtime on local radio stations, print ads/articles.
